Product Description
This holder can be used to mount cs-mount lenses on PCB cameras (PCB = printed circuit boards). The flange back distance of CS-mount lenses is 12.5mm (in air). The holder is 14.5mm height and therefore assumes the sensor in 2mm height from the PCB. This means, washers might be needed to compensate for correct focussing to infinity . Example : 1mm thick filter then the back flange distance for cs-mount must be 12.5 + 1mm/3 to focus to infinity.
To use this adapter with C-mount lenses, the adapter must be combined with an extra 5mm distance ring, for example ADCTCS, to reach the back flange length of c-mount : 17.526mm.
Rule of thumb: If lenses shall be focussed to infinity and if filters are used between lens and sensor, the lens should be an extra 1/3 of the filter thickness off the PCB. (the exact measure depends on the glass material of the filter)
For object distances shorter than infinity (for example 50cm) the manual focus of the c- or cs-mount lens might be enough to compensate the slightly wrong adapter height.
