The NSC0905 has a pixel pitch of 10.6um with 1280x1024 effective pixels and matches perfectly to a 18mm standard image intensifier tube output.
Its high fill-factor (> 70%) and the possibility of taper-less 1:1 coupling to a 18mm IL tube improve considerably all the metrics performances of a such night vision camera.
The sensor delivers a fully contrast conserving image sensing over a large dynamic range without saturation and contrast losses and without the need for external control. It enables for the first-time a direct-view equivalent digital night vision performance.
The NSC0905 sensor outputs a direct analogue differential video signal. The absence of on-chip ADC generates an extremely uniform thermal behavior on the large sensor surface during the operation which favorizes a stable and high resolution coupling to IL tube's phosphor screen. The NSC0905 can be scanned at 75Mhz with 3 scanning modes: High Definition(HD), Binning and zoom. The maximum frame rate is 50Hz at HD mode and more than 150Hz at binning and zoom modes. It can be delivered under different packages from low cost COB to high performance ceramic package.
